The BPI heating specialist is more than a technician who is responsible to understand the heating or insulation inefficiency in a building and provide feasible solutions. This is to encourage better indoor conditions and provide the residents better living conditions in a favorable environment.

As a heating specialist you must be licensed and accredited by the BPI in order to take up any projects. You will be responsible for analyzing the HVAC systems and their efficiency.

Analyzing the duct system and the insulation of the internal heating systems are also taken up by the heating specialist. These professionals will be able to troubleshoot any repairs in the HVAC units, water supply, fuel supply, electrical connections, etc.

The BPI heating specialists work in extremely harsh and hot conditions. It is a risky job because most of the time they interact with the other HVAC technicians who work with electricity, heating systems, flammable fuel lines and other chemicals. The safety of the workmen is in the hands of the heating specialist. It is quite a lucrative career as a HVAC specialist.

These specialists can work for general contractors, HVAC manufacturers, and public contractors, can be consultants for apartments, buildings, complexes, schools, houses and other institutional buildings.

These professionals are certified by accredited institutions or construction companies or training institutes which are certified by the Building Performance Institute. There are experienced professionals who enroll themselves directly with the BPI and give an exam thereafter. This certification will help them accept and undertake all kinds of private and government construction projects in future.
